Hello my bitches!

Apologies for the delay I know I should have posted yesterday but i was entertaining a lady friend so I am pump today bouncing around like a squirrel on crack.
Now because I am in a great fucking mood I thought that I would review an album worthy of the mood I’m in! So today it is quite possibly one of (I mean one of, as they have heaps of cool albums, so this is my personal favourite!) the best Iron Maiden albums ever! That’s right ‘The Number Of The Beast’

This album gets of to a cracking start with the track titled ‘Invaders’ which is a kick ass track from start to finish. The next is ‘Children of The Damned’ this track starts of nice and slow and builds up to be a cracker of a song

‘The Prisoner’ is six minutes of pure musical genius, the spoken words are awesome, the music is hard and fast, I love this song. ‘22 Acacia Avenue’ is another song that I love, it just screams out at you and it seriously makes you want to go to 22 Acacia Avenue!

Then we move onto the title track ‘The Number of the Beast’ This is like my theme song, I being a beast (a super-intelligent beast mind you). The whole song tells a story which is rare today in song writing! the music builds till it assaults your ears and they bleed.

‘Run to The Hills’ is a post colonial song and quite a rare song for a Heavy Metal band, by rare is that it actually has a historical context to it that is hard to ignore, very well written lyrics and great music, the drumming at the beginning gives it an almost tribal feel before the screaming guitars kick in, just musical FUCKING genius!

‘Gangland’ is a song that starts with a great drum solo, which is very rare these days and is joined by guitars playing amazing riffs. ‘Hallowed be Thy Name’ is the last song and it is a great song to end what is just an awesome album I love the guitar solo in this track, something which has disappeared from most bands today!
The thing I  love  is the fact that they put ten awesome tracks that are all awesome, no fillers, no crap fucking songs to beef up the album, like so many other albums do. GENIUS! I wish more artist cut out crap fucking songs then again most wouldn’t have enough for an album.

Due to my awesome mood and the fact that I now have my mojo back, I am giving this album a massive 5 shots of whiskey out of 5, fuck you very much, till next time

    Music Monkey

What’s up my bitches? I’m Herbie, the music reviewer. I love bananas and whiskey and I just love music and I will rate any CD in my own special way. See what I do is whack the headphones on and play it loud, if I love it and it moves me I will crack out the dance moves (the moonwalk is my signature move, that and the reach around, but that’s another story) or if it’s heavy I will head bang, and if I hate it well the monkey comes out in me and I will usually smear the CD in my own excrement (hey I’m a monkey after all).
