Yeah, it’s Monday yeah I know, I have been having an awesome time with my new lady friend!
So I am in an awesome mood which is a good thing as I am reviewing the little blond babe Taylor Swift’s last album.
Yeap that’s right that skinny little blonde Taylor Swift!
Taylor Swift’s album ‘Fearless’ , I bought this album as I fell in love with the song “Love Story” I know what a fucking pussy but it was just such a sweet song and one of those that the more I listened to it the more I fell in love with it, so I got the whole album and well I must say it’s interesting!
The opening track “Fearless” sets the tone of the whole album and this is where my problem starts. When I bought this album I was expecting some tacky top forty yes I know I have problems but I love my tacky top forty songs anyway, It starts with guitars strumming and it’s more of a country song, okay, moving on “fifteen” starts again with that country guitar and then the lyrics start I must say the lyrics are quite good, she does remind me of a country version of Jewel (who I absolutely love/adore/stalk). It is a song about being fifteen.
Something that I can’t really relate to because as far as I am concerned
pre-pubescent teenagers smell funny. The next song is “Love Story” cool, as I said earlier I love this song, it paints such a beautiful picture and has such a happy ending (mmmm… happy endings got to love them!) The next song is “Hey Stephen” has a cool drum intro and again it reminds me so much of Jewel, it’s a really catchy song which surprised me somewhat it is also sung in a really sexy way, I especially love that little laugh that she puts into the song. I must say Stephen is one lucky lad (if skinny blondes are your thing, just to note I’m not fussy, I’ll take anything!)
We then move onto a slower song “White Horse” which is alright it does have a more folksy sort of sound. Then it goes to my other favourite song of her’s which is “You belong with me”. This song rocks, it is so easy to sing along to and I especially love belting out the chorus, this song rocks, it has a real country/pop feel good vibe to it and for some reason I love it! “Breathe” is the song that sounds so country but like all good country singer/songwriters they at least no how to write great lyrics this song was a little slow for me. “Tell me why” is another country song. “You’re not sorry” is okay, not my favourite. “The way I loved you” is a great ballad it’s quite a good song. “Forever and always” has a good pop song feel I rather like this song, it’s another one of Taylor’s songs that seem to grow on you the more you listen to it. It is sung in a rather aggressive tone that makes me like her more, I can imagine her as this little angry blonde getting ready to gouge out your eyes because she caught you perving at another girl, yeah, that’s that’s more like it. “The best days” is another real country sounding song, it would really suit one of them red-neck bars, you can see this song being sung in the early hours of the morning with hairy dudes drinking their beers and spitting their tobacco into a spitoon and hugging each other in that Brokeback mountain cowboy way with Taylor singing this song.
anyway, onto the next song. “Change” is another country ballad, it’s okay. So all up, like I said I am in a good mood so I will be taking 3 shots of whiskey for this album. I guess I didn’t realise how country this album would be so, to be fair to Taylor I was expecting a more pop sort of album but hey that’s what you get when you like one song and decide to get the whole album.
Till next week peace out my bitches!
PS next week it's Taylor Swifts New Album RED!
