Jason Mraz’s new album “We sing, we dance, we steal things” is quite frankly a masterpiece of well crafted songs and music. The album launches with a great song “Make it mine”. It then goes into his biggest charting song “I’m yours” this is an extremely catchy song that really grows on you and the more you sing it, the more it stays in your head. The next song and one of my favourites on the album is “Lucky” a duet with the ultra hot “Colbie Caillat” that bird is one sexy beach bunny babe that I’d do on the beach.
It then goes into a raunchy song called “Butterfly” now this song has to be the BEST song on the whole album. Butterfly a term which has come to represent the vagina, how awesome!! I LOVE VAGINAS, I mean when I am not reviewing albums I am googling vaginas, hey I am a primate I have needs too, you know (by the way Redi I will need some more scotch you FILTHY BITCH!)
Jason Mraz then slows it down with the simple but effective “Live High” which has a message of “live high, live mighty, live righteously” yeah good song but live righteously sounds too much like hard work. “Love for a child” is a song that I am guessing is autobiographical, it tells a story of a kid who gets forgotten by his parents and does drugs and has sex a far too young an age. Man that sounds like a life we all want, SEX & DRUGS! Then we get into songs like “Details in the fabric” which features James Morrison, then there’s “Coyotes” and “Only human”. I couldn’t relate to the “Only human” song, as humans are the bastard monkeys that we don’t like admitting we’re related too.
The remaining songs like “If it kills me” & “A beautiful mess” are all awesome, The music on this album is brilliant, Jason Mraz is certainly a talented musician and he backs that up with a song writing talent that makes him one of the best singer/songwriters, something that we haven’t seen for a longtime.
So all up this is a worthy addition to anyone’s collection and I am giving it 4 & 1/2 shots of whisky! Now I will go back to singing “I’m yours” over and over and over again.
Peace out my bitches!
